The Skin recovery super antioxidant concentrate serum I’ve already had for over 6 months, and I thought I should try more products from this line because I really like it. And because I needed a new cleanser and daily moisturiser with SPF (my beloved La Prairie moisturiser is almost empty…booo), I bought the cleanser, toner and moisturiser of the Skin recovery line.
To start with the cleanser, these are the ingredients:
No agressive cleanser, the third ingredient on the list is soybean oil, and no perfume. This is what I like! I use just a dab of it, rub it in between my hands and gently massage it onto my face. On some days I use it on my facial brush (like a Clarisonic), which works great as well, it foams a little bit more using it this way.
On to the toner, these are the ingredients:
This toner is supposed to hydrate the skin, and it contains antioxidants too. Use it after you’ve cleansed your skin, shake the bottle before putting some on a cotton pad and wipe it over your face. Don’t rinse with water afterwards!
Next are the ingredients for the antioxidant serum, which is the next step:
This sounds kind of supersonic: antioxidant/cell-communicating ingredient. I don’t know how this communication exactly should work, but I do know that antioxidants protect your skin from oxidative stress (wrinkles!!!) by neutralising free radicals. Antioxidants also should works against red skin (rosacea).
Here are the daily moisturiser and the serum, as you can see the serum is really quite oily which is why I use it only at night. The moisturiser is really light, it doesn’t leave a white glow on your skin (or maybe you just can’t see it on my pale skin hehehe), and it soaks into the skin really quickly so you can move on with your make-up right after applying it.
I’m really into this skincare line from Paula’s choice, the cleanser gives me a fresh, clean (but not squeaky clean) feeling, the toner makes my skin feel calm and not dry. The Serum I use at night, particularly under my eyes and a little bit on the rest of my face, and the daily moisturiser doesn’t give me any breakouts, has SPF30 which I find most important, and doesn’t go greasy during the day. Obviously I can’t tell if it’s preventing wrinkles or not, because I don’t have any yet, but at least I have a great feeling using these products as they don’t contain any perfume or other rubbish.
At the moment there is still a 15% discount on all cleansers and toners in the official European Paula’s Choice webshop.
Have you tried any of these products before, or is there any other Paula’s Choice product that you can recommend?
